Wasim Abid

Managing Partner

Wasim Abid graduated from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in the year 2011 with dual degrees in B.A. and L.L.B. Thereafter, he started working for a prestigious law firm based in Islamabad which focused on civil, commercial and constitutional litigation. Abid was enrolled as Advocate with the Punjab Bar Council in 2012.

Abid is an experienced legal practitioner having worked on a wide range of cases pertaining to varying areas of law. Abid during his time at his previous law firm assisted Senior Counsel in the Supreme Court, Islamabad High Court, Lahore High Court, Peshawar High Court and the Sindh High Court. The prominent cases on which Abid worked at his previous law firm included constitutional petition pertaining to the introduction of 3G/4G services in Pakistan, a constitutional petition pertaining to the issue of non-conforming use in Islamabad in the High Court and the Supreme Court, a constitutional petition concerning the elections of the Pakistan Olympic Association in Lahore High Court, Islamabad High Court, Peshawar High Court and the Supreme Court, and a constitutional petition with regard to SIM verification procedure and biometric verification by telecom companies before the Sindh High Court and the Supreme Court.

Barrister Rahman Ali Khan

Barrister Rahman Ali Khan obtained his LL.B. (Hons.) degree from the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom in the year 2011. Thereafter, he enrolled in the Bar Professional Training Course and was called to the Bar of England and Wales (Gray’s Inn) in the year 2013. Khan also holds an LLM from the City Law School, London, United Kingdom. Khan was enrolled as an Advocate with the Punjab Bar Council in the year 2013.

Khan joined the top corporate law firm in Pakistan in 2013 and focussed on corporate and transactional work, where Khan worked on a wide variety of matters including but not limited to Company Law, Labour Law, Competition Law, Regulatory Matters, Commercial Law, Oil & Gas Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Privatisation Matters, Banking Law and Contract Law.

Mohammad graduated from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in the year 2011 with a dual degree of B.A & LL.B. Thereafter, Mohammad proceeded to pursue his LL.M from University College London (UCL). After coming back to Pakistan, Mohammad joined a prestigious and top ranking law firm in Pakistan where he gained handson experience in the area of corporate and commercial law. Mohammad later on joined the office of the Attorney General Of Pakistan wherein he assisted the Attorney General of Pakistan on numerous high profile cases including but not limited to the constitutional petition challenging the 18th and 21st Amendment to the Constitution.

Ahmed Shahid Khan

Ahmed heads the China desk at AK Law and is working to develop a China related niche in the legal sector, leveraging his experience of working and studying in China and Hong-Kong. His practice primarily relates to Corporate and Transnational Law.

He has experience of working as an in-house counsel at a leading multinational where he provided active support on compliance and corporate governance besides contributing to cross functional business projects and ensuring adequate protection of Company’s interests. Ahmed has also gained experience at Afridi and Angell Legal Consultants, Dubai.
